Lazy C Farm

A Lifetime On The Farm

Owner and operator of the Lazy C Farm Kallie Hicks has been riding horses as long as she can remember. Her grandfather built the farm some 40+ years ago and it has remained in the family. Kallie and her husband Steven bought the farm in 2016 after her grandfathers passing. her grandmother in fact still resides on the farm and the children that visit fondly call her mamaw as they pass her house on the way to the barn.
She has been a horse owner since the age of eight when her grandfather brought home her first horse to the farm. At the age of twelve she began barrel racing which led to her love for speed and eventually she also added pole bending and goat tieing to her rodeo events. Although she enjoyed the rush of speed events she also has fond memories of trail riding on the farm and learning how to ride English from her mother. Kallie was active in her community becoming president of both her 4-H and FFA clubs. While in 4-H she attended many different clinics and camps to expand her knowledge and horsemanship skills.
She enjoys teaching and is happy to have new students arrive at the farm . They put a smile on her face as much as she puts a smile on theirs.
